Here's a look at Mike Brown in the gym as he prepares to fight World Extreme Cagefighting featherweight champ Urijah Faber at WEC 36:
I feel the same way about Brown's chances of beating Faber as I felt about Jon Fitch before he fought Georges St. Pierre at UFC 87: Brown is a good fighter, probably the second-best in the world in his weight class, he's well rounded, and I'm sure he'll come in prepared, and yet I really just don't see an area where he's better than Faber.
Whether it's a stand-up brawl or they go to the ground, I think Faber is going to have the edge, and that makes it extremely hard to see a successful game plan for Brown. Faber-Brown is going to be a good fight, but it's a fight I have a hard time seeing Brown winning.
