IFL champ Wagnney Fabiano signs with WEC

IFL featherweight champion Wagnney Fabiano has signed with the WEC, securing the promotion with another formidable opponent for champion and poster boy Urijah Faber.

Fabiano is 10-1 with his one loss a controversial split decision to Jeff Curran. He competed in Canadian organizations TKO (formerly UCC), Freedom Fight and APEX before signing with the IFL as a member of Renzo Gracie's New York Pitbulls. Fabiano was 6-0 in the IFL, winning his first five fights by submission. In his final fight for the team-based MMA league, Fabiano knocked out Shad Lierley in 37 seconds to successfully defend his featherweight belt.
