Two former Icon Sport middleweight champions will square off against each other at Strikeforce "Payback" on Oct. 3 in Denver, Colorado.
Trigg (16-6), who won the Icon Sport belt via TKO against Jason "Mayhem" Miller in Dec. 2006, will fight Falaniko "Niko" Vitale (26-8), who won the belt with a first-round knockout in April 2005 when the promotion was still called Super Brawl.
Before Trigg heads to Colorado, the former UFC and PRIDE competitor will fight in Japan against Olympic Gold Medalist in Judo Makoto Takimoto at "Sengoku 4" on Aug. 24.
