'Cro Cop' expects to fight at DREAM 6 on Sept. 23

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic says he expects to fight at DREAM 6 on Sept. 23, but admitted nothing is officially confirmed.

"I have no doubt that I'll be there on that card, fighting whoever they put me against," Filipovic wrote Friday on his blog. "I'm hoping to face a top ranked fighter, preferably Alistair Overeem."

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Overeem challenged "Cro Cop" at DREAM 4 on July 21 shortly after connecting cleanly on a left-right-left punch and a left elbow to knock out Tae Hyun Lee in 36 seconds.

Filipovic said he reads up on Overeem's interviews but says it's not his style to reciprocate the trash talk. However, Filipovic did leave Overeem a message:

"You should save your strength for a real fight, because it's coming. When I see you in the opposite corner, then I'll talk."
