Hoger (6-4) is scheduled to take on Braden Bice (4-4), a 21-year-old heavyweight from Mercer, Pennsylvia.
"I'm excited about fighting for World Championship Fighting," Hoger said. "They're one of the biggest shows on the East Coast. I'm not looking past my opponent, but I plan on making big waves in the MMA world again and this will be my first step."
Hoger was last seen tapping out a rear-naked choke applied by Vernon "Tiger" White at an IFL event in Moline April of last year. Prior to that fight, Hoger fought five straight times for the UFC, but ended the stint on losses to Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida.
Hoger's most notable win was at "The Ultimate Fighter Finale" in April 2005, when he won a unanimous decision over current Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth.
