Reis to face Quach for the EliteXC 140-lb. belt

The EliteXC 140-pound belt will be up for grabs between undefeated Brazilian Wilson Reis and Team Oyama's Bao Quach at a date to be determined, Reis says.

"EliteXC put me to fight for the belt against Bao Quach from California," Reis told Tatame magazine. "I'm very happy. I have three victories at Elite and now have a chance to fight for the belt, and I'm already training to win this."

Reis (5-0), who is 3-0 with EliteXC, made a successful EliteXC debut in January with a submission win over Zach Makovsky at ShoXC: Alvarez vs. Ebanez, and followed that up with wins over Justin Robbins and Bryan Caraway.

Quach (15-8-1) also debuted with EliteXC at the ShoXC event in January, winning a unanimous decision over Bobby McMasters. Quach is on a nine-fight winning streak and this past Saturday defeated Mark Oshiro for the Icon Sport North American 140-pound title.

At the last ShoXC in April, Quach filled in for Reis against 2-time UFC competitor Doug Evans when Reis failed to turn in his paperwork in time to the California State Athletic Commission. Quach needed only 55 seconds to dispatch of Evans via strikes.
