Olympic Gold Medalist Pawel Nastula set for 'Sengoku 4'

Olympic Judo Gold Medalist Pawel Nastula will return to competition when he takes on Korean wrestler Yang Dong Yi at "Sengoku 4" on Aug. 24 in Saitama, Japan, World Victory Road announced today.

In addition to taking home the Gold Medal at the 1996 Olympic Games, Nastula captured the Gold Medal in the 1995 and 1997 Judo World Championships. But his mixed martial arts career hasn't fared anywhere close to his accomplishments in Judo, mostly due to being thrown to the wolves during his stint with PRIDE from 2005-2006, where he suffered losses were to Josh Barnett, Aleksander Emelianenko and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Yi (2-0) is a better matchup for Nastula (1-3) as the 23-year-old South Korean has only two professional fights under his belt for the DEEP promotion. However, the CMA Korea fighter has finished both fights by TKO in the first round.

Current Card for Sengoku 4:

- Pawel Nastula vs. Yang Dong Yi
- Takanori Gomi vs. Bang Seung Hwan
- Frank Trigg vs. Makoto Takimoto
- Peter Graham vs. Moise Rimbon
- Satoru Kitaoka vs. Clay French (Lightweight Grand Prix)
- Eiji Mitsuoka vs. Rodrigo Damm (Lightweight Grand Prix)
- Kazunori Yokota vs. Bojan Kosednar (Lightweight Grand Prix)
- Mizuto Hirota vs. Ryan Schultz (Lightweight Grand Prix)
