Affliction has confirmed the signings by scheduling the two IFL champions for a press conference Wednesday at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas to announce the lineup for the event.
Sources have told MMAFighting.com that Nelson (13-2) and Matyushenko (21-3)'s opponents will be Xtreme Couture's Jay White and PRIDE veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (14-3), respectively.
Matyushenko, who is riding an eight-fight winning streak, holds a unanimous decision win over Nogueira from the one-shot UFO "Legend" event in August 2002.
Nelson has won his last five fights, four of which were by (T)KO. "Big Country" made a name for himself in the IFL when he offered a solid challenge for the dominant Ben Rothwell, whose exit from the promotion for greener pastures would free the way for Nelson to storm through the division and capture the IFL heavyweight belt.
