EliteXC specials to air on Fox Sports Net

EliteXC has signed a deal with Fox Sports Net for four one-hour specials to air on the cable network starting mid-September into early October.

The EliteXC specials, which will air Sunday nights at 9:00pm local, will not only air fights from the promotion but also from sister promotions King of the Cage and Cage Rage. Old fights with current stars the likes of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (Cage Rage) and WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber (King of the Cage) will be featured in these specials.

The current deal with last for only four episodes, but will be extended if the specials are deemed a success.

Handling the hosting and commentating duties are Jay Glazer and Frank Trigg, the team behind the "PRIDE Fighting" series on FSN and more recently "Affliction: Banned" on pay-per-view.

This will be EliteXC's first deal on basic cable. The promotion already has live events on premium cable network Showtime and national TV network CBS.
