Hazelett vs. Burkman named Fight of the Night

The welterweight bout between Dustin Hazelett and Josh Burkman was announced as the "Fight of the Night" at "The Ultimate Fighter 7" live finale on Saturday.

The award was one of three awards handed out at the media conference following the event from the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas.

In the closing bout of the preliminary card, Hazelett submitted Burkman with an armbar with fourteen seconds left in the second round. More impressively, Hazelett hopped into the armbar while holding onto the shoulder after a whizzer takedown.

Hazelett and Burkman each earned $20,000 for the award. Hazelett also picked up an additional $20,000 for the armbar, which was declared the "Submission of the Night."

The UFC is currently offering the fight to be viewed free of charge courtesy of Harley-Davidson.

Miletich Fighting Systems' Drew McFederies won the "Knockout of the Night" award for his stoppage victory over Marvin Eastman.
