Spratt, Alessio to headline free show in Las Vegas

Pete Spratt and John Alessio will meet in the main event of a free MMA/boxing card on Friday, June 20 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The event, "Free For All, Night of Combat," will feature two boxing main events that will air live for "Friday Night Fights" on ESPN.

After the six boxing bouts are over, four or five MMA bouts with Xtreme Couture members will conclude the show.

Xtreme Couture's Alessio will battle 7-time UFC competitor Spratt in a welterweight contest. Since his departure from the UFC last year, Spratt has jumped from promotion to promotion with mixed results. A contestant on season four of "The Ultimate Fighter," Spratt is coming off a knockout win over season two cast member Jason Von Flue at a UWC event. Alessio, who made his UFC debut at the age of 20, fought for the WEC in his last six bouts and came up short only twice, both to title contenders.

Kim Couture, the wife of the UFC Hall of Famer Randy, will be in action to take on the undefeated newcomer Kim Rose.

Dennis Davis, formerly with Team Quest and now with Xtreme Couture, will battle his former teammate Dave Jansen of Team Quest in a bout contested at a catch-weight of 150 pounds.

New Zealand's Brice Ritani-Coe will make his professional MMA debut against an opponent to be determined. The Xtreme Couture fighter was victorious last Friday at the Tuff-N-Uff "The Future Stars of MMA" amateur card against Jon Quinlan by first-round TKO.
