Vernon 'Tiger' White headlines XFA 2 this Saturday

Before Vernon "Tiger" White joins the star-studded Affliction: Banned event on July 19, the longtime Lions Den member will compete this Saturday, May 31 in one of nine kickboxing bouts at XFA 2 in Las Vegas.

White, a professional mixed martial arts competitor for over fourteen years, will take on Muay Thai kickboxer Anthony "The Hitman" Brown, who also works as a police officer in the LVMPD and a dancer at Bally's Hotel and Casino. Brown was one of Rich Franklin's training partners for his UFC 77 bout against Anderson Silva.

After this bout, White will meet Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in a light-heavyweight bout on the undercard of Affliction: Banned in Anaheim, California.

The XFA describes its style as K-1 without the tournament format. "The Ultimate Fighter" 2 cast member Mike Whitehead made his stand-up fighting debut at the XFA's first event on March 22 by unanimously outpointing Ethen Cox of Long Beach, California after three rounds.
