Former WEC champ Marshall to return to Lemoore

Former WEC light-heavyweight champion Doug "Rhino" Marshall will return on Friday, July 18 to Lemoore, California, where he began his mixed martial arts career in 2003.

Marshall (7-3) will fight Mavrick Harvey (8-4-1) in the main event of Palace Fighting Championship (PFC) 9 "Return of The Rhino" at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino.

The PFC debuted in January 2007 to fill the void in Lemoore left by Zuffa's purchase and subsequent move of the WEC to Las Vegas. Fighters that weren't signed by Zuffa during the sale continued with the PFC.

Marshall, who is still under contract with the WEC, captured the WEC title in August 2006 and held the belt until a knockout loss to U.S. Marine Brian Stann at WEC 33 last March.
