UFC 84: Roger Huerta Explains Why Game Plans Don't Last in Mixed Martial Arts

Notes on a trip to Las Vegas.

In talking to people inside the sport of mixed martial arts, you frequently hear about the importance of entering a fight with a good game plan. But UFC's Roger Huerta hosted a Q&A with fans in Las Vegas Friday, and when one fan asked him if he deviates from his game plans during a fight, he gave a funny (and profane) answer indicating that maybe game plans aren't so important:

"We follow game plans on these fights, and I'll follow a game plan when I fight Kenny [Florian], but as soon as I get clipped, I'm like 'F--- this," Huerta said. "The game plan goes out the door as soon as I get hit."
