Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Coleman Canceled, Georges St. Pierre vs. Jon Fitch at UFC 87

UFC announced today that a welterweight title fight between Georges St. Pierre and Jon Fitch will be the main event at UFC 87, August 9 in the Twin Cities. From UFC's release:
"He's a very, very tough guy," said St-Pierre of Fitch. "I'm gonna have to train hard and be very well prepared because he may be my toughest fight yet."

"The whole goal is to get the belt and be in the position where guys can't duck me, run away, or say they don't want to fight me," said Fitch. "If I have the belt, there's no excuse, and if you say you're the best, then we're gonna fight. This is gonna be a tough fight, but I'm gonna make sure I'm sharp that night, and wherever the fight needs to go, that's fine with me."
The previously scheduled heavyweight fight between Brock Lesnar and Mark Coleman has been canceled. Coleman is injured; UFC is expected to sign a replacement opponent for Lesnar, the former pro wrestler who lives in Minnesota.

With St. Pierre vs. Fitch as the main event, Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta in a lightweight elimination match and Lesnar vs. TBA, UFC 87 is shaping up to be yet another very good mixed martial arts card in a summer full of them.
