Former Pride Bushido competitor Luiz Azeredo has signed on to fight undefeated Kamal Shalorus on Saturday, June 21 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Azeredo, a Chute Boxe fighter, fought in February and won a decision over Brazilian Top Team's Milton Vieira at a local show in Brazil. Azeredo is one of four men to record a victory over current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
Azeredo's opponent, Shalorus, trains out of Relson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Austin and was a member of the British Olympic wrestling team.
The two ground experts are competing on the Global Fighting-promoted "Godz of War" card from the Time Warner Cable Arena. The show will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Jeff Monson and Kevin Randleman.
