Affliction VP confirms Fedor vs. Sylvia

PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia at "Affliction: Banned" in Anaheim, California on July 19.

The fight was confirmed by Tom Atencio, the Vice President of Affliction Clothing, on this past Friday's episode of "Inside MMA" on HDNet.

"It was a long process, going back and forth," Atencio said on the signing of the main event. "Just trying to make everybody happy but also putting a fight together that I think all the fans wants to see."

Another heavyweight bout confirmed for the card will be a clash between two UFC main eventers, Josh Barnett and Pedro Rizzo.

"Affliction: Banned" will be televised live on pay-per-view from the Honda Center for a suggested retail price of $39.95.
