| HDNet Fights announced Thursday afternoon that it has entered into a partnership with Strikeforce to present four Strikeforce events live on HDNet in 2008. "We're excited about this new deal with Strikeforce as they are such a well respected MMA organization," said Andrew Simon, CEO of HDNet Fights. "This announcement reinforces our commitment to deliver a minimum of 24 events in 2008 and the partnership between HDNet Fights and Strikeforce guarantees many great match-ups for MMA fans." The partnership will officially begin with "Strikeforce at the Dome," which is scheduled to air live from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10:30pm ET. The main card includes Bob Sapp vs. Jan Nortje, Maurice Smith vs. Rick Roufus, Duane Ludwig vs. Steve Berger and Jorge Masvidal vs. Ryan Healy. The following Strikeforce event on March 29, "Shamrock vs. Le," will air exclusively on Showtime because the event is being co-promoted with EliteXC. |
