The long-awaited encounter at Saturday's UFC 79 between former UFC champion Chuck Liddell and former PRIDE champion Wanderlei Silva was named by the UFC as the Fight of the Night.
The two dangerous strikers, delivering on the expectations of an all-out slugfest, each received a bonus of $50,000.

Eddie Sanchez, most known as Mirko Cro Cop's first UFC opponent, earned his second straight win and the Knockout of the Night for his stoppage win over UFC newcomer Soa Palelei.
