Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White has confirmed that he's actively working to sign Fedor Emelianenko, the best mixed martial arts fighter who isn't already in the UFC stable, and that if Emelianenko signs, his first fight will be for the UFC heavyweight championship. However, White says he has had some problems dealing with Emelianenko (pictured with Russian president Vladimir Putin), and specifically with his management team.
Specifically, White says he has "no idea what these crazy Russians are going to do."
Mixed martial arts fans should hope the crazy Russians and the crazy American who runs UFC work out a deal. A title fight featuring Emelianenko would be huge.
