UFC brass might still be angry at Jon Jones. But if that's the case, the company won't let it interfere with the UFC's postfight bonus system.
Jones finished his UFC 152 main event against Vitor Belfort with a beautifully executed fourth-round Americana at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. That maneuver enabled him to edge Vinny Maghalhaes' smooth armbar finish of Igor Pokjarac for Submission of the Night honors.
The UFC light heavyweight champion pocketed an extra $65,000 with the bonus.
Also taking home $65K Saturday night were Cub Swanson, T.J. Grant and Evan Dunham.
Swanson took Knockout of the Night with the big right hand which finished his bout with Charles Oliveira and earned his third straight victory. Grant and Dunham, for their part, took Fight of the Night honors for their thrilling three-round slugfest, won by Grant on a unanimous decision.
