Erik Perez rolled to a first-round knockout win at UFC 150 (Esther Lin, MMA Fighting).

Erik Perez didn't need much time to finish Ken Stone on Saturday night. Seventeen seconds, to be precise.

The Jackson's MMA fighter etched his name in Zuffa's history books with the fastest bantamweight knockout in UFC/WEC history, as Perez stopped Stone at UFC 150 in Denver.

Perez sent Stone crashing face-first to the mat with a big right hand in the first real exchange of the bout. Stone recovered from that one, but Perez pounced and landed several more shots. Referee Herb Dean jumped in and stopped the fight.

While Stone instantly got back to his feet, replays made it clear that Stone was knocked out cold with one punch and brought back around by the next one.

With the victory, Perez improved to 12-4, with six straight victories, including both of his UFC fights. Stone dropped to 11-4.

The finish came one second quicker than the previous record, Damacio Page's victory over Marcos Galvao at WEC 39 in 2009.
