Alan Belcher has turned his attention to Vitor Belfort after falling short in the Michael Bisping sweepstakes.

According to Belcher, the UFC has offered him a fight against Belfort at UFC 153 in October. Now he just needs Belfort to accept the fight.

The middleweight fighter took to Twitter on Monday night to let the world that the promotion wants him to fight "The Phenom" in Rio de Janeiro, but as he put it, "Belfort hasn't agreed."

Belcher then asked his followers to help him convince Belfort to accept the fight.

"Help me get the word 2 Dana [White] & Lorenzo [Fertitta], this fight should happen w ur help," he tweeted.

Belfort has yet to comment on the fight or whether it has really been offered to him yet.

UPDATE: Belfort has called out Chris Weidman on Twitter.

Belcher (18-6) has won his last four fights in a row. He most recently defeated Rousimar Palhares at UFC on FOX 3 via first-round TKO in May.

Belfort (21-9) hasn't fought since he defeated Anthony Johnson in Rio in January. He was scheduled to fight Wanderlei Silva last month but a broken hand forced him out of the bout.

UFC 153, headlined by Jose Aldo vs. Erik Koch for the UFC featherweight title, is scheduled for Oct. 13 at the HSBC Arena in Rio.
