Rich Franklin may not remember it, but he pulled out one of the year's gutsiest performances on Saturday night.

Franklin survived a second round scare to edge Wanderlei Silva in the pair's ‘Fight of the Night' rematch at UFC 147, much to the disappointment of the raucous Brazilian audience packing the Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drumond. Franklin and Silva have now fought for 40 roller-coaster minutes, pocketing $125,000 in bonus cash for their work. Not too shabby.

Like usual, while the two veterans went to war, their professional compadres hit the Twitter-sphere to give their thoughts on the action. Though this time the typical congratulatory notes were joined by a steady stampede of Jim Carrey references, because, you know, Franklin looks like Jim Carrey.

Wow. Wouldn't want to judge that one. Close fight. I'd give wand a 10-8 in the 2nd, though. He either wins our gets a draw. Maybe?
