Round 1: Waldburger lands a straight left on the button early and ends up in Ebersole's half-guard. Ebersole looks to get to his feet, but Waldburger sees an opening for a D'Arce choke. Ebersole manages to escape, and the two are back on their feet and clinching in center Octagon. Two minutes left, standing, both guys keeping their distance. They clinch again and Ebersole lands a knee, then hits an elbow on the break. Ebersole connects with a high kick. Final minute. Waldburger with a straight right, Ebersole counters with a left. Round 2: Waldburger shoots early and scores a double-leg takedown. Waldburger tries to transition to Ebersole's back, doesn't quite get it, and Ebersole instead ends up in Waldburger's guard. Waldburger working for an omoplata. Ebersole escapes, but Waldburger works for a straight armbar. Ebersole again escapes. Now Waldburger is working for a triangle. Again Ebersole finds an escape. Ebersole stays on the ground with him and Waldburger is looking for a fourth submission attempt. Ebersole lands a few hammer fists, but now Waldburger has a reverse triangle going. Round 3: Ebersole goes for an unorthodox cartwheel-ish kick about a minute in. The two clinch along the fence. Two minutes in, we're back on the ground, Ebersole in Waldburger's guard. Ebersole with shoulder strikes. Waldburger working a triangle but doesn't have it tight. Ebersole nearly gets Waldburger's guard. Ebersole moves to side control. Gets back to his feet and scores with a few punches. Ebersole landing strikes on the ground as the round ends. Fight will likely come down to how the second round was scored.
