Round 1: Stann hammers a hard kick into Sakara's ribs and deftly avoids the two-punch combo that comes in return. Sakara stalks forward and backs Stann up against the cage. Stann lunges forward with a right, then grabs Sakara in a Thai clinch and rocks him several knees. After getting so excited on the attack that he slips to the mat, Stann rises and continues the knee assault until Sakara drops to his back. Stann pours it on from the top, but Sakara holds on through the initial onslaught. A short left by Stann seems to put Sakara out. Stann lands one more, then stops and looks almost apologetic as Sakara comes to holding his face and the ref belatedly steps in. Bit of a strange ending, but Sakara definitely seemed to be out.

Brian Stann def. Alessio Sakara via TKO (punches) at 2:26 of round one
