The Croatian heavyweight star has apparently signed a three-fight deal with the company, Zuffa co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta told UFC fans during a question-and-answer session during Saturday's pre-UFC 100 Fan Expo.

The MMA soap opera of the moment seems to be whether or not Mirko Cro Cop has left the UFC to sign with DREAM. UFC President Dana White says he did; a translation of a Croatian newspaper story says he did not.
One day in the near future we'll know the truth, but lost in the shuffle of whether or not White got screwed is Todd Duffee.
"Who is Todd Duffee?" you might ask.

This is the UFC 99 live blog for the undercard fight featuring the return of Mirko Cro Cop, who will take on Mostapha Al-Turk.Cro Cop, the former Pride Open Weight Grand Prix champion, is making his return to the Octagon after going a disappointing 1-2 in the UFC in 2007. He's favored to beat Al-Turk.

The big news in the UFC this week was that Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic will return to the Octagon next month at UFC 99. His opponent, Mostapha Al-Turk, was mostly an afterthought.But could Al-Turk pull the upset? After all, the 34-year-old Cro Cop is hardly the Cro Cop of the old Pride days. He went 1-2 when fighting in the UFC in 2007, and when he returned to Japan in 2008 he didn't appear as strong or explosive as he once did. He's also been plagued by injuries.
Al-Turk wants everyone to know that he's ready.

How good was Frank Mir's 2008?
Mir, the new UFC interim heavyweight champion, had two fights this year. In one, he beat the biggest, strongest fighter to come along in MMA in years, Brock Lesnar. In the other, he finished the hardest fighter to stop in MMA history, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
And it took Mir less than nine minutes, total, to beat them both.

UFC 92 is the best mixed martial arts card of the year, one with three fights that could be main events on pay-per-view shows: Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans for the light heavyweight championship, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir for the interim heavyweight championship, and Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in what looks likely to be a Fight of the Year candidate.Here are all the details.
What: UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008
Who: In addition to Griffin-Evans, Nogueira-Mir and Wanderlei-Rampage, the other fights on the televised portion of the card are Cheick Kongo vs. Mostapha Al-turk and C.B. Dollaway vs. Mike Massenzio. There are some good fights that might or might not be televised, including Dean Lister vs. Yushin Okami and Matt Hamill vs. Reese Andy.
When: Saturday, 10 p.m. Eastern

Cheick Kongo: I'm Disappointed Brock Lesnar Got the UFC Heavyweight Title So Fast

"I have nothing to say about his performance," Kongo said of Lesnar. "He trains hard. (But) I'm disappointed because Lesnar got the title so fast. I try to get this but most of the time there's someone keeping me back. ... I don't think I'm a star, you know, or a super fighter, I just try to get better, I just try to get this title you know. That is why I am here."
UFC 92: Mostapha Al Turk Says 'I Do My Talking in the Cage' vs. Cheick Kongo

The three fights at the top of the UFC 92 card (Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir, Wanderlei Silva vs. Rampage Jackson) are so big that hardly anyone is talking about the other seven fights on the card.But UFC 92 is a solid card from top to bottom, and I think the heavyweight fight between Mostapha Al-Turk and Cheick Kongo is a particularly interesting one.
I've always liked Kongo, who has won five of his seven fights since entering the UFC two and a half years ago. But I think Al-Turk (whose six wins all came in the first round) is an opponent who will make for a good fight to watch, even though it's unlikely that he'd beat Kongo.
