Seven
fighters advanced Tuesday in the opening round of the DREAM.2
Middleweight Grand Prix at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
Taiei
Kin, Yoon Dong Sik, Zelg Galesik, Ronaldo "Jacare"
Souza, Kiyoshi Tamura, Gegard Mousasi and Kazushi Sakuraba
each won their respective bouts to secure a position on
the DREAM.4 Middleweight Grand Prix 2nd Round on June 15.
The eighth spot will be filled by a fighter to be announced.
In
a rematch from DREAM.1, Shinya Aoki pulled the upset over
Gesias "JZ" Calvancante by unanimously outpointing
the American Top Team fighter to advance to the second round
of the Lightweight Grand Prix against Katsuhiko Nagata.
Aoki will have less than two weeks to prepare for the bout.

will air on HDNet on Saturday, May 3 at 10:30pm ET.
