Arlovski, 'Big John,' Mir, Nogueira become toy figures

Andrei Arlovski, Frank Mir, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and "Big John" McCarthy will have their own collectible figures in April.

Round 5 announced today that the third series of its "World of MMA Champions" will comprise of the referee and three heavyweights.

Series one included Randy Couture, Matt Hughes, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Tito Ortiz, while Series 2 featured Rich Franklin, Sean Sherk, Anderson Silva and Wanderlei Silva.

Fighters maintain creative control of their likenesses on the figures and will also be allowed to sell sponsorships on their figure's shorts. According to Round 5, fighters receive royalties four-to-five times the standard for the toy industry.

"We are excited that four huge MMA standouts like Arlovski, McCarthy, Mir and Nogueira will be our partners in creating the next Series of Round 5 figurines," Round 5 president Damon Lau said. "These are some of the biggest names in the sport today and we think fans will love to show their support of these great stars with a high-quality collectible on their desks."

Round 5 is planning to release three more series in 2009.

Round 5 figures are not official UFC figures as the UFC has an exclusive agreement with Jakks Pacific.
