Josh Koscheck too focused to worry about contracts

Josh Koscheck isn't concerned right now with where he lands after his current UFC contract expires on December 10 when he fights Yoshiyuki Yoshida at "UFC Fight For The Troops."

"For me, I'm not going to comment on anything to do with that," Koscheck said early Friday morning on "Sports Rage" on SIRIUS 98, Hardcore Sports Radio. "I'll let my people deal with that and I'll deal with it after my fight. I don't want to have any distractions in my preparation. I'm three weeks away from this fight and I haven't read anything on the internet, I've stayed away from all it." 

Before Fitch rejoined the UFC, the former number one UFC welterweight title contender guessed that Koscheck would be on his way out of the UFC after the December 10 bout due to Dana White's feud with Fitch and Koscheck's American Kickboxing Academy.

"The bulls--t of the contracts or whatever is going on, that's part of the game," Koscheck said. "The UFC are in the contract business. I just want to get paid, I want to fight and I want to have a retirement plan. I'm going to be 31 in a couple of days. I want to have money in the bank so that I don't have to do this for the rest of my life."
