"The Ultimate Fighter 6" runner-up Tommy Speer may be choosing a life on the farm over one inside a cage.

Speer, after a majority decision loss on Saturday, told the Virginian-Pilot that he’s done fighting.

"I'm finally noticing that I can't farm, I can't fight; I can't do both of them at the same time," Speer said. "They both require a lot of hours, a lot of dedicated hours. So as of right now I think my decision to fighting came to an end here."

Speer stepped in on late notice for an injured Shonie Carter to fight Beau Baker in the CageFest Xtreme 6 show in Norfolk, Virginia.

Speer advanced all the way to the finals on season six of "The Ultimate Fighter" before falling to Mac Danzig at the live finale. Speer was released by the UFC after his next fight, a loss in brutal fashion to Anthony Johnson.
