This fight has been cancelled after UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre suffered a torn ACL. As his injury is said to require 10 months to recover, UFC President Dana White has stated Nick Diaz will now face Carlos Condit for the UFC welterweight interim championship.

Ariel Helwani is reporting that UFC president Dana White is planning to book Nick Diaz vs. Georges St. Pierre for a Welterweight title fight in Montreal in March. White said Diaz is yet to return his paperwork for the bout.
