Xbox One video: EA Sports' UFC game to feature Ignite Engine technology

At the Xbox One reveal, EA Sports introduced its first glimpse of the upcoming UFC game Tuesday. According to Polygon, the video game will be released within the next year and it also explained more about the new Ignite Engine technology used in the game. The video above features all four of EA Sports' upcoming franchises (NBA Live, Madden, FIFA and UFC), and it choose to recreate the Showtime kick by Anthony Pettis against Benson Henderson to promote the UFC game.

Mark Hunt gets visa, headed to Vegas for UFC 160 fight

Mark Hunt will be fighting Junior dos Santos next Saturday night.

The heavyweight fighter will "likely" fly out tonight after getting his visa, the UFC confirmed to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani.

Hunt's travel nightmare began around two weeks ago when he was stopped twice going to the airport because of a 2002 arrest. The UFC was even targeting Roy Nelson as a possible replacement if Hunt wouldn't be available to fight.

Hunt will face dos Santos in the UFC 160 co-main event. In the main event, Antonio Silva will square off against UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.

Nate Diaz defends Pat Healy, uses gay slur against 'guy who took the money'

Pat Healy forfeited over $130,000 in bonuses earned from his UFC 159 victory against Jim Miller after testing positive for marijuana in a post-fight drug test, leading UFC bantamweight Bryan Caraway to retroactively receive Healy's $65,000 ‘Submission of the Night' bonus.

Healy's punishment has drawn widespread criticism across the mixed martial arts community, and on Thursday, Nate Diaz joined into that chorus. Diaz tweeted his support for Healy before hurling a homophobic slur indirectly at the "guy who took the money" on Twitter.

Diaz initially directed his slur towards "the opponent" who took Healy's money before deleting his tweet and reposting instead with the term, "the guy."

UFC officials have yet to comment on Diaz's statements.

UFC on FOX 8 fight card: Albert vs. Meza added to event

A bantamweight fight between John Albert and Yaotzin Meza has been added to the upcoming UFC on FOX 8 fight card, according to UFC officials.

Albert is in on a three-fight losing streak, including a submission loss to Scott Jorgensen at UFC on FOX 5 on Dec. 8, 2012. Meza, who trains with UFC champion Benson Henderson, will try to bounce back from being knocked out by Chad Mendes at UFC on FX 6 on Dec. 15, 2012.

UFC on FOX 8 will take place on Sat., July 27, 2013 at the KeyArena in Seattle. Here is what the UFC on FOX 8 lineup looks now:
