During Friday's UFC 210 official weigh-ins, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier weighed in 1.2 pounds over the 205-pound limit for light heavyweight championship fights. Cormier, who is scheduled to defend his belt on Saturday against top contender Anthony Johnson, was then given another chance to weigh-in just a little over two minutes after the initial time he hit the scale.
On his second try, the former Olympic wrestler registered 205 pounds, but was seen holding down the towel used to cover his body, as he had stripped down before stepping on the scale. Many claim this to be an old wrestling trick used to weigh less on the scale.
Below is how the pros reacted to Cormier’s controversial weigh-in:
@arielhelwani Pushing down on the towel can make you lose a few pounds....sneaky lol

It seems the NYSAC folks can't spot a pair of hands resting on a towel during a weigh in, but they can damn sure spot a pair of fake boobs!

I smell something fishy. Somehow Cormier lost 1.2 pounds in 2:24 mins, is that even possible in that short amount of time?
