A lightweight clash between Leonardo Santos and Olivier Aubin-Mercier was officially announced for UFC 212 on June 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Santos (16-3-1) is the only TUF:Brazil winner still undefeated inside the Octagon. The Nova Uniao fighter, who became the season three welterweight winner in 2013, has gone 4-0-1 since the title, including a first-round knockout victory over Kevin Lee.
Aubin-Mercier (9-2) will compete for the first time outside North America. He enters the cage coming off back-to-back submission victories over Thibault Gouti and Drew Dober. The Canadian talent is 5-1 since losing to Chad Laprise in the TUF Nations welterweight final in 2014.
UFC 212 takes place at the Jeunesse Arena, formerly known as HSBC Arena, and features Jose Aldo vs. Max Holloway in the main event. The current fight card can be seen below.
