The UFC will return to Singapore for the first time since 2014, and the promotion has announced five bouts to the upcoming show on June 17.
Set to take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the UFC Fight Night 111 card will feature the return of former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski opposite Marcin Tybura, and longtime lightweight veteran Takanori Gomi versus Jon Tuck.
Arlovski (25-14, 1 NC) desperately needs a win after four straight defeats since Jan. 2016, being finished by Stipe Miocic, Alistair Overeem, Josh Barnett and Francis N’Gannou. Tybura (15-2), on the other hand, enters the bout coming off stoppage wins over Luis Henrique and Viktor Pesta.
Much like Arlovski, Gomi (35-12, 1 NC) is a veteran of the sport who finds himself in a must-win situation. The Japanese star was stopped in his last three UFC bouts, losing to Jim Miller, Joe Lauzon and Myles Jury. Tuck (9-4) also enters the fight on a losing streak after decision defeats to Josh Emmett and Damien Brown.
The UFC has yet to announce which fights will headline and co-headline the card. Three other match-ups were booked for UFC Fight Night 111: Ulka Sasaki (19-4-2) vs. Justin Scoggins (11-3), Kwan Ho Kwak (9-1) vs. Russell Doane (14-7), and Cyril Asker (8-2) vs. Walt Harris (9-5).
