It’s been a rough road of late for B.J. Penn, but he isn’t calling it quits just yet.
The UFC announced on Wednesday night that former UFC lightweight and welterweight champion will fight Dennis Siver at a UFC Fight Night in Oklahoma City. The event will take place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on June 25.
The FS1 magazine show UFC Tonight also announced some other fights taking place at on the card. A middleweight clash between Tim Boetsch and former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks is official for the event, as well as a women’s strawweight battle between Felice Herrig and Justine Kish.
Herrig and Kish were castmates together on The Ultimate Fighter 20.
Also announced was a light heavyweight bout between Josh Stansbury and Jeremy Kimball.
The 38-year-old Penn will look to snap a four-fight losing streak against Siver, whom he was scheduled to face back at UFC 199 in June of last year. The fight was cancelled when Siver suffered an injury.
Penn last fought UFC Fight Night 103 in January against young phenom Yair Rodriguez. He was defeated by second-round TKO (kick and punches).
Siver, who is also 38, last competed in June 2015, when he lost a unanimous decision against Tatsuya Kawajiri.
