An injury has forced lightweight Abel Trujillo out of his fight with Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 94. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie on Monday and was later confirmed by MMA Fighting.
No details were disclosed on Trujillo's injury or return.
Trujillo has fought already twice in the 2016 calendar, compiling wins over Tony Sims and Jordan Rinaldi. The 32-year-old fighter is 6-2 and one no-contest since joining the UFC back in 2012. Trujillo's only two UFC losses have come to top contenders Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Meanwhile, the UFC is looking for a replacement opponent for Dunham. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt is currently riding a three-fight wining streak with victories over Rodrigo Damm, Ross Pearson and Joe Lauzon. Prior to that, Dunham was on the opposite end with three straight losses.
UFC Fight Night 94 takes place on Sept. 17 at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Lightweight contenders Dustin Poirier and Michael Johnson are scheduled to headline the card.
