The UFC has yet to officially announce a single fight for its Madison Square Garden debut and already one has been scratched.
The highly-anticipated Robbie Lawler vs. Donald Cerrone welterweight bout is off, MMA Fighting has confirmed. According to sources, Lawler decided he needed a little more time to get ready for the fight after getting knocked out by Tyron Woodley at UFC 201 in late July. UFC president Dana White announced earlier this week on a local radio show that the long-rumored fight was a done deal.
TMZ first reported the news Friday night.
It is unclear at this time whether Cerrone will remain on the Nov. 12 card in New York City.
