Michael Page returns to the Bellator cage on November to fight Fernando Gonzalez on Nov. 19 in San Jose. The news was announced by the promotion on Friday.
This will be Page's first fight since his viral flying-knee victory over Evangelista Santos at Bellator 158 back in July. That victory turned 'MVP' into an internet sensation due to his pokemon-themed celebration after the fight. The 29-year-old Page is currently undefeated as a professional fighter with 11 wins that include 10 stoppages.
Gonzalez is a Strikeforce and WEC veteran that is on a five-fight wining streak since joining the Bellator roster back in July 2014. The 32-year-old welterweight last competed at Bellator 151 in March, outpointing Gilbert Smith. Gonzalez is 25-13 as a professional fighter and holds wins over notable opponents such as Karl Amoussou and Karo Parisyan.
This is the third time the two welterweights are scheduled to fight, as they were supposed to compete at Bellator 151 and 158. The first time Page pulled out of the fight due to undisclosed reasons, and the second time Gonzalez had visa issues that forced him to withdraw from the bout.
