Alejandro Perez wont be fighting Manny Gamburyan at UFC Fight Night 94. The 35-year-old veteran pulled out of the fight due to 'personal reasons'. The news was announced on Tuesday by UFC Español.
Now, Perez, or better known as 'Diablito', will be taking on short-notice replacement Albert Morales in a bantamweight bout.
Perez is currently on a two-fight wining streak with victories over Scott Jorgensen and Ian Entwistle. The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America season one winner is 3-1 in the UFC with his only loss being to Patrick Williams at UFC 188.
Making his UFC debut on short notice, Morales will be looking to stay undefeated. The 25-year-old fighter is currently 6-0 as a professional fighter, and has competed in promotions such as Bellator, WSOF, and RFA. Morales last fought at RFA back in June, knocking out Mario Israel in the first round.
UFC Fight Night 94 takes place on Sept. 17 at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Lightweights Dustin Poirier and Michael Johnson are scheduled to headline the card.
