Jared Cannonier is getting right back to work.
According to multiple sources, the UFC is looking to book Cannonier against Glover Teixeira at UFC 208. The promotion has yet to officially announce the fight.
UFC 208 is set for Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Feb. 11. A main event fight has not been announced yet, either.
Cannonier (9-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Ion Cutelaba on Saturday, improving his UFC record to 2-1. "The Killa Gorilla" is 2-0 in 2016 after missing the majority of 2015.
Teixeira (25-5) is hoping to rebound from his 13-second knockout loss to Anthony Johnson in August. Prior to that loss, Teixeira had won three fights in a row. He was scheduled to fight Jimi Manuwa on Jan. 21, however, the UFC recently canceled that card and decided to book the veteran Brazilian versus Cannonier instead. No word just yet on when Manuwa will fight, though, early plans are to have him compete March 18 in his native England.
