The eighteenth installment in the UFC on FOX series on Saturday night earned a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and averaged 2.43 million viewers according to TV By The Numbers. That was enough to come in second among rated networks in that coveted demo.
The overnights measure the 8-10 p.m. time slot in the Eastern time zone, and its corresponding 7-9 p.m. in Central time zone and 6-8 p.m. in the Mountain time zone. However, it also measures 8-10 p.m. in the Pacific time zone, and as a live sports event, the show aired starting at 5 p.m. on the west coast. This rating measures whatever programming the local FOX stations were airing from 8-10 p.m. and not the UFC.
The final numbers, which would be for the entire show nationwide, will be out on Monday or Tuesday. It's not clear how much the ratings will jump considering the main event ended before 10 p.m. ET.
The rating for Saturday's event is a slight decrease in terms of adults 18-49, but a modest increase in overall viewers. UFC on FOX 17 earned a 0.9 in the aforementioned demo and averaged 2.28 million in overnight viewers.
Saturday's ratings are a decline from last January's UFC on FOX event in 2015, UFC on FOX 14. That event, headlined by Anthony Johnson vs. Alexander Gustaffson, earned a 1.8 rating and claimed over 3 million viewers. UFC on FOX 10 in January of 2014 earned a 1.9 rating and pulled 3.2 million viewers.
UFC on FOX 18 was headlined by Anthony Johnson taking on Ryan Bader in a light heavyweight clash. Johnson won via stoppage due to strikes in just 86 seconds.
