Andrei Arlovski and Frank Mir want a do-over on their disappointing UFC 191 matchup.
In a bout between former UFC heavyweight champions waited on for more than a decade by longtime fans, Arlovski and Mir put on a lackluster display in Las Vegas, plodding for 15 minutes before Arlovski got a debatable decision.
But according to MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani, both sides are amenable to a rematch. It was reported on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight that according to both fighters' manager, Malki Kawa, that after taking a break, said both are interested in the rematch if the UFC wants it.
Arlovski, for his part, would like to fight again in December or January.
Mir's coach, Ricky Lundell, indicated Mir would like a full eight week camp, and would want a rematch to be a five-round bout. Mir took the Arlovski fight on a quick turnaround after defeating Todd Duffee in July.
Arlovski won his sixth straight fight and fourth since returning to the UFC with the win. Mir had a two-fight win streak snapped.
