Round 1: Gomi is in southpaw, Lauzon is orthodox. Herb Dean is the referee. Gomi connecting with lefts, albeit not with much authority. Lauzon times a beautiful level change for a lead-leg single. Gomi tries to recover, but Lauzon takes his back. Lauzon nearly slips off, but threatens with a kneebar behind the back. Lauzon lets it go, but re-claims the back. Lauzon flattens out Gomi and is pounding on him, unobstructed. Lauzon actually gets up and walks off before the fight is called, but Dean calls it when Gomi declines to reengage the fight. Bizarre ending, but dominant win.
