UFC deletes Romero's comments upon rebroadcast!

With many articles and posts being devoted to the topic of Yoel Romero's post fight comments....the public should know about this fact. Whether you agree or disagree with his comments, I think what we all cherish is freedom of speech and being able to utter comments in public that others may not agree or that may be controversial. This is the hallmark of freedom, a freedom denied to dissidents in Cuba f where Romero is from when they speak up about their government. Whatever you feel about Romero's comments, he clearly loves the USA and praises it about all nations, even the nation he came from.

To my utter dismay this afternoon I turned it to a rebroadcast of the Saturday UFC fight card hoping to again hear Romero's words and reevaluate for myself what exactly he said given his heavy accent....what I instead found was that after the fight was over, the UFC edited the comments and deleted the comments that he made that were the topic of so much discussion. To me, this is akin to something that would have been done in communist Cuba and state media and not in the USA that Romero speaks so highly of. I am saddened that the UFC has decided to silence free speech and to instead abide by a level of political correctness that is contrary to the freedoms that many of us hold dear.
