Angela Hill has a new opponent for her Invicta debut.
The Ultimate Fighter alum will face Alida Gray at Invicta FC 15 on Jan. 16 in Costa Mesa, Calif., officials confirmed with MMA Fighting on Monday.
Hill was supposed to face top strawweight contender Jodie Esquibel. No comment was given on the reason why Esquibel has been pulled, but Esquibel has reportedly tried out for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter, which features 115-pound women.
Hill (2-2) was cut from the UFC after two straight losses against top opponents Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas. She owns a win over Emily Kagan, a fellow castmate on The Ultimate Fighter 20. Hill, 27, is an accomplished Muay Thai fighter who boasts dangerous standup.
Gray (4-2) has not fought since a first-round knockout loss to Alexa Grasso in December 2014. She also has a loss on her record against top UFC strawweight Jessica Aguilar in World Series of Fighting. Gray, 38, won four in a row before the fights with Aguilar and Grasso.
Another change to the Invicta FC 15 card is also official. Raquel Pa'aluhi will now fight Colleen Schneider on the card. Pa'aluhi was initially set to face Irene Aldana.
Invicta 15 will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Cris Cyborg and Daria Ibragimova. In the co-main event, Livia Renata Souza defends her strawweight title against DeAnna Bennett.
