Kelvin Gastelum is out of his UFC 195 welterweight bout against Kyle Noke after suffering an undisclosed injury, according to the UFC on Tuesday.
Spanish MMA news outlet Indiscutido reported it was a wrist injury that forced the welterweight prospect to pull out of the fight.
Also, it was reported that Alex Morono (11-3) will be making his UFC debut by replacing Gastelum and taking on Noke. Morono is currently on a five-fight winning streak.
Additionally, a lightweight bout between Abel Trujillo and Tony Sims will now be part of the main card.
Gastelum was coming off a close split-decision loss to Neil Magny back at UFC Fight Night 78 on Nov. 21, while Noke last competed against Peter Sobotta at UFC 193 where he earned a Performance of the Night bonus.
UFC 195 takes place in Las Vegas, Nev. on Jan. 2. Robbie Lawler is scheduled to defend his welterweight belt against Carlos Condit in the main event.
