"Sales are contingent upon the attitude of the salesman - not the attitude of the prospect."
And fortunately for the Viacom-owned Bellator Fighting Championships, Bjorn Rebney is their salesman. The "suits" could not have manufactured a better prototype. The man is a lovely, fine, fair, comely, pleasant, agreeable, acceptable, adequate, satisfactory, nice, benign, harmless, innocuous, innocent, safe "fight fan."
Bjorn Rebney is the type of "fight fan" with information and intelligence, one who exacts vocal inflections that are just enough to express excitement without sounding nervous.
Bjorn Rebney is the perfect promoter.
Yet unfortunately, for the mixed martial arts community, Bjorn Rebney is Bellator's salesman. The fans could not have manufactured a worse prototype. The man is a bland, programmed, lame, contrived, bogus, disingenuous, posing, charlatan, robot, generic, standardized, rigid, PR, simulated "fight fan."
Rebney is the type of "fight fan" with a horizontal smile, a milquetoast whose personality feels like manicured hands in a world of scarred knuckles.
Bjorn Rebney is the worst promoter.
