Jon Jones should not fear youth, fame, or leeches. He should fear his leg.

Forget all the concerns the UFC might have about Jon Jones. A young guy, lots of success, lots of temptations. Those exist, but to me there is a far greater concern. It's called his leg. His legs, not just one in particular if you want to be completely honest. To me that is the greatest fear.

I've thought this for a while. Much before Anderson Silva did what he did to his leg. And much much before Spong did it. The point is I've been saying this to myself for a long time. Corey Hill is the reason for my concern for Jones. There is something about their body design that seems similar. It's those very long and very thin legs. Extraordinary legs in fact. Guys who tower over others in their same weight division are skinny and lanky.

I think up until now we haven't seen Jones testing his leg in fights. He prefers the oblique kick. Perhaps it's intentional not to risk a break. Perhaps it's luck. With recent breaks, I would hope that it at least came up in conversation. Risk vs. Reward. No question to me that Jones has to be the highest risk fighter for a leg break on the UFC roster. Not for his style, but based on his physique.

Go ahead and check some comparisons between Corey Hill and Jon Jones regarding their legs. Given the money at stake, surely Jones should remove any risky kicks from his arsenal. If not, it would appear that legs breaking and certain kick checking techniques are going to affect many more fighters as the sport evolves.
